Who we are

MY KAPTN is an Iraqi fitness platform that connects athletes with the best coaches for training, nutrition, and follow-up programs. This policy explains what information we collect from you, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

Account information

Name, email, phone number, role (athlete or coach), social handles (Instagram/Telegram/WhatsApp), bio, and profile and cover photos.

Fitness data (athletes)

Your assessment answers (such as age, weight, height, goals, injuries and medical conditions), body photos, weight records, your daily log, and meal photos.

Coach data

Your experience and certification details, the courses you create, and transformation photos.

Conversations

Messages and images exchanged between you and your coach or athlete inside the app.

Technical information

Device type, push notification token (to send alerts), and basic information about how you use the app.

How we use your information

• To run the service and match athletes with the right coach.
• To deliver training and nutrition programs and track your progress.
• To analyze your meal photos with AI.
• To send notifications related to your course and conversations.
• For support, and to keep the platform safe and moderate harmful content.

AI meal analysis

When you photograph your meal for analysis, the image is sent to an external AI provider to estimate calories and nutrients. These results are estimates and may not be 100% accurate.

Payments

Any payment between you and your coach happens entirely outside the app (via WhatsApp or Telegram). MY KAPTN does not process or store any card or payment details between athletes and coaches.

Who we share your data with

• Your coach: the data needed for training and follow-up.
• Service providers: hosting and databases, the meal-analysis service, the notifications service, and email delivery — to operate the app only.
• Authorities: if required by law.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on secure infrastructure (servers in Europe), with strict per-user access controls, signed temporary links for private photos, and encryption in transit.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your data from the platform. The same option is available for coaches.

Children

The service is intended for users aged 13 and over (or the minimum age set by your local law). We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, or its correction or deletion, at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and we’ll show the last updated date at the top.
